Elding has a supported whale research by local and international scientists for years and sometimes they join us onboard to study the whales in Faxaflói bay. On 3 May 2019 we had a couple of cetologists out on one of our RIB's to get a bit closer to the humpback whales to take biopsy samples from. Always interesting to be a part of this kind of data collection!
The research was a collaboration between a local researcher and not directly conducted by Elding's own research team.
